Sika has launched the new i-Cure technology, reducing emissions to protect the natural environment and improving conditions. The term i-Cure stands for “intelligent curing” and is the chemical base for the new patented crosslinking technology for polyurethane sealants and adhesives. It allows a combination of the best properties and excellent price/performance ratio of classic polyurethane sealant and adhesive technology, with very low emissions. Products based on i-Cure technology indicate the potential to develop formulations with lower tendency for discoloration when exposed to sunlight, compared to previous polyurethane and silane-terminated polymer based sealant and adhesive generations.
