Technical details
Producer: InoDesign (USA)

A SplicingNut is a two part device that mechanically forms a loop in braided line similar to a splice. A description of SplicingNut´s advantages:
- SplicingNut makes attaching hardware to braided line easy.
- Lines fail from chafe, SplicingNut is removable/re-attachable.
- Unlike splices or knots, SplicingNut provides a positive stop, it will not jam in sheaves, which eliminates the need for shackle guards on spinnaker sheets and stopper balls on halyards.
- Because SplicingNut is a mechanical fastener, line/hardware assemblies come out the same every time. This allows you to make lifting bridles swiftly, because if you can accurately cut the lines the same the length, the line assembly is exactly the same length. Cordage products can now be consistently manufactured, something that was time consuming with knots or splices. (http://splicingnut.com/)
