Sole Diesel has achieve a new range of engines with SOLAS approval, these engines have been modified according to the SOLAS regulations to be suitable to work in rescue boats.
Homologated applications:
Inboard diesel engines intended for propulsion of Life-Saving Appliances as defined by LSA Code (IMO resolution MSC.48(66)):
section 4.4 (lifeboat)
section 4.5 (partially enclosed lifeboats)
section 4.6 (totally enclosed lifeboats)
section 4.7 (free-fall lifeboats)
section 5.1 (rescue boats)
and by IMO MSC/Circ. 809 for fast rescue boats.
