Technical details
Producer: Navman (USA )

Navman’s Trackfish 6500 is the 5” combination unit that offers a complete system of navigation, fishfinding and fuel management software for gasoline, diesel and SmartCraft engines. In addition to these core functions, the boater has the option to connect the Trackfish 6500 with Navman’s VHF7200 to enable the unique Track-Your-Buddy feature. This practical function allows the position of up to three other boats, equipped with a DSC radio, to be plotted and tracked on the Trackfish’s screen. The easy-to-use interface allows quick selection of the desired full or spilt screen display and the dedicated “Page” key provides easy access to the boater’s favorite selection.
The Trackfish 6500 comes standard with a built-in 32MB world map that provides a basic level of cartographic detail and functionality on the display’s 320 x 234 pixel screen. 3000 waypoints, 25 routes and multiple plotter tracks provide ample navigation tools. Additionally, all units have capacity for a C-Map cartridge and are compatible with NT MAX, the latest offering from C-MAP. With the cartridge installed the full capabilities of these units are enabled for seamless chart data on depth contours, hazards, port and tide information and NavAids.
Performance fishfinding capacity is provided by a dual frequency (50 / 200 kHz), 600W (RMS) sounder that provides a depth range of up to 2000 ft (600m). Greater depth and detail can be achieved using an optional 1KW transducer. The Trackfish 6500 employs Navman’s proprietary digital signal processing algorithm: SBNII to maximize signal enhancement, bottom recognition and noise rejection.
Boaters can take advantage of Navman’s expertise with fuel monitoring and engine management system with the purchase of a suitable fuel kit. Important fuel flow, economy, tank levels and range calculations can be displayed realtime for instant data on engine performance. For a diesel or SmartCraft compatible engine, a fuel consumption curve that plots economy vs RPM and speed vs RPM can be plotted on the Trackfish display to assess boat performance in different conditions. Additionally, boaters with Mercury’s SmartCraftTM enabled engines can take advantage of the full suite of SmartCraft engine management information such as speed, RPM, tank levels, oil and water levels and trollcontrol commands.
In addition to the distinctive Track-Your-Buddy feature, with a Navman VHF7200 connected, the Weather Station attributes of this VHF model can be displayed on the Trackfish 6500’s display via NavBus (Navman’s proprietary connectivity system). All the air temperature, barometer, weather and fish forecasting characteristics can be selected to be shown on the data page or header fields for instant access to important weather forecasting data.
The Trackfish 6500 come standard with a swivel and tilt bracket, flush mount options and sun cover.
