Jeanneau Sun Fast 3200

Sun Fast 3200 belongs to the category of racing cruisers as an ideal sailing yacht for racing and fast sailing, thanks to computer-designed underwater hull lines with cast iron/lead keel and large sail plan surface. Constructed in a style of traditional sloop, her hull with two rudders has unusual width and Sail drive engine. Wide cockpit is comfortably equipped with a tiller on each side, and the complete deck gear comes from the Harken. Result is fast boat with excellent directional stability in all points of sail. Interior layout is carefully made according to the yacht´s category. It consists of two large double berths aft, central saloon, galley and chart table at foot of companionway, heads forward and watertight bulkheads (infusion constructed main bulkhead).
Designed by Daniel Andrieu, the Sun Fast 3200 has already attracted a number Transquadra sailors as well as owners from northern Europe (Sweden, Norway etc). The official introduction and launch of the prototype are due to take place in July 2007. Built using the most up-to-date technology (infusion for the deck and sandwich hull) to optimise strength and weight, the Sun Fast 3200 is aimed both at fast cruising and racing enthusiasts particularly for downwind sailing.
The organisers of the Transquadra 2008 (Saint Nazaire-Madeira-Martinique) have given this new 9.8m long yacht a very warm welcome and have chosen to promote it by giving it its own class for this race using the IRC level rating. Many transatlantic race enthusiasts have already reserved their Sun Fast 3200 and have registered for this transatlantic race!
The Sun Fast 3200 will have its preview at the Grand Pavois show next September.
