Dinamica 940 RS

The 9.4 m long Dinamica 940 RS weighing only 2,200 kg, looks pretty athletic, although it is not an out-and-out regatta boat. The hull underbody is the work of Claudio Maletto whose designs have won 12 world championships and who is himself a regatta sailor with two world championships under his belt. The last few years he has been the technical director of the Prada-Luna Rossa America’s Cup syndicate. With a relatively low displacement, the 53% ballast is pretty high. The fabrication method is highly advanced: the Airex sandwich with its high share of carbon fibre and E-glass mats is optimally impregnated with epoxy resins in the vacuum infusion process.
