Comar Comet 45 Sport

Comet 45 S is a performance sailingboat, part of successful new generation started with Comet 51 S. Designed by Studio Vallicelli, the waterlines give good performance with exceptional manoeuvrability. Straight stem, open stern, low coach-roof with fixed portholes, slim line hatches, teak toe rail, optional double wheel and two different keels, both lead and antimonium, with two different drafts (2,40 the standard keel, and 2,80 the racing keel) emphasises the sporting spirit of this boat. Sail plan is 9/10 fractioned rig with Sparcraft Performance tapered mast, three aft swept spreaders, without running stays. Harken deck rigging are implanted for smooth control line handling. Some features have been especially conceived to improve the racing potential of the 45 S: the big “removable” stern locker, practical while cruising, reduces the weight aft while racing. Two big lockers, under the cockpit seats and under the cockpit floor, and a sail locker enable the storing of numerous equipment to always known where is what of it. Engine is 60hp turbo with S-Drive. Comet´s roomy interior is available in two versions with three or four cabins, and two heads. The quality of the joinery with its beautiful American cherrywood optimises comfort, while the craftsmanship apparent throughout give an added touch of luxury.
