Lagoon 420

The catamaran Lagoon 420 from France is equipped as standard with a hybrid drive comprising diesel engine and electric motor drives, resulting in an exceptionally high level of energy efficiency. Complete installation is composed of two electric motors connected to propellers by straight shaft transmissions, one generator and two set of 6 batteries. When batteries are 100 % charged, the boat will be able to function with both motors for approximately two hours (depending on speed). When batteries are 80 % charged, the generator will automatically start and charge the batteries and provide electricity for the motors. When sailing, propellers will turn freely and charge the batteries.
The new design of this cat offers generous spaciousness both above and below deck (4 cabins with queen size beds and 4 toilets with separate head and shower). The exceptional design of the control position combined with the hard bimini top is a delight, while the price/performance ratio cannot fail to impress. The Lagoon 420 is also ideally suited to comfortable, fast and safe blue-water sailing. As all the operating controls are ergonomically arranged within easy reach of the helmsman, the 12.61m long and 7.50m wide Lagoon 420 with its 97m2 of sail area can also be readily sailed single-handedly.
