Pershing 62

18.94 metres long and 4.80 metres wide, the new vessel, once again created by the yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, in collaboration with AYTD (Advanced Yacht Technology & Design) and the team of engineers, architects and designers of the Ferretti Group, is a unique fast and elegant model: in keeping with the brand’s DNA, which has always been careful to make products that combine functionality, security and complete comfort, this boat will allow the owner to have an excellent time at sea.

Pershing 56’ and Pershing 58’, two of the most successful models of the brand, with a total of more than 70 units produced and sold, naturally led to the new Pershing 62’ which catches the eye immediately due to its sleek and streamlined profile: the hull line and the superstructure are designed to give the boat a streamlined profile, “swift at dock” catching the eye for its aggressive profile and sporty spirit, enhanced by the shape of the hull glazing, a typical characteristic of the new Pershing direction, which gives this model a family feeling, and adds extra light to the full beam Owner’s suite amidships. The VIP cabin at the bow also benefits from this innovation since it has a double window with a porthole which allows more light to enter this space.

The new model, designed to guarantee optimal performance at sea, is available with two engine versions: a double MTU 10V 2000 M84 with a power of 1381 mhp, or two MTUs - present on this first unit - 10V 2000 M93, with a power of 1524 mhp.

With this second version, Pershing 62’ reaches a top speed of 46.5 knots and a cruising speed of 42 (preliminary data). The standard version of Pershing 62’ is equipped with Searex surface propellers: upon request, it is possible to install an Autotrim system.

On board, the stern area has some new elements: indeed, a functional launching and storage system for the tender has been installed on Pershing 62’, and until now available only on the large models of the brand: a mobile and foldable platform in the central part of the beach, which allows quick and simplified handling of the tender in the garage, using a winch rather than cranes to lower it into water.

There is a large sunbathing area both at the cockpit and the bow, which gains its elegance thanks to the superstructure carefully made of fibreglass. In fact, the central part of the deckhouse is rough and anti-slip to allow the guests to access the sundeck easily, while the sides are smooth and slightly wavy. This is a solution with a double effect that combines aesthetics and functionality: alternating between smooth and rough surfaces which indeed creates a play of light and dark shades enhancing the dynamism of the boat.

The front windshield, which is a magnificent example of quality branded Pershing, is a single piece made of laminate, 3.7 m wide: a characteristic launched by the brand for first time on Pershing 64’ and which has been modified by other brands of the Ferretti Group.

The main saloon, characterized by ebony elements, can be reached through a sliding door, part of a completely inbuilt large window supplied by Besenzoni. A characteristic which is now popular on many Pershing models, combining the cockpit with the saloon to create a large open space which can be used by the guests.

Tailor-made to the Owner’s needs, the first Pershing 62’ unit was manufactured with a standard layout, including three cabins - the Owner’s suite, a VIP and guest cabin at the bow, towards starboard - and three bathrooms with separate showers. The guest bathroom, which has a double entrance from the cabin and from the lobby on a midway floor, can also be used as a day toilet. Along the left wall there is the galley, which receives additional light from an opening in the ceiling. The alternative version has two cabins, the Owner’s suite and a VIP cabin while the guest cabin is replaced by a living room furnished with a queen size sofa bed. Both versions have a crew cabin which can be reached from the cockpit, with a single bed and integrated bathroom.
