58 Zephyros, as a novelty for 2003, also became Windy’s flag ship by overtaking this position from the sports cruiser 43 Typhoon, many years leading ship of the Windy’s production. This is a stylish sports cruiser with sliding hard top, which graceful, but also aggressive enough, appearance is marked by traditional and cultural particularity of the Scandinavian circle. Primary functionality has been enriched with elegant solutions that point to high class in which Zephyros belongs. Thus, in accordance with manufacturer’s image, buyer acquires not only excellent speed performances, but also reasonably expected supreme comfort. She has been built on a modified deep-V hull with 21-degree transom deadrise and minimized propeller tunnels and chines for maximizing performances and cost-effectiveness of navigation. Hull topsides, superstructure and deck are sandwich structures filled with PVC foam for weight reduction and improved sound and thermal insulation. Omnipresent high technology of workmanship and equipment is first noticeable in the skipper’s working place, outfitted with three LCD screens for managing, navigation and servicing, which provides skipper with full control over all essential elements important for safe and comfortable navigation. Deck living area, protected by a sliding hard top, comprises very comfortable semicircular sofa and table, while on the opposite side is situated wet bar equipped with refrigerator and barbecue. Whole area is opened towards aft, but, upon request, available is glazed double door made of tinted glass in stainless steel frame. Interior consists of saloon with a galley and three cabins of which the third one is situated in the aft with separate entrance from the cockpit. Available diesel engines are dual Volvo of 715HP and MAN of 800HP each. Powered by them, Zephyros should develop maximum speed between 37 and 41 knots, while cruising speed would amount to from 32 to 36 knots with cruising range of 320 nautical miles.
