For the past nine years, the worldwide boating industry has recognized the best in boat building through nauCAT's annual Boat of the Year awards, for boat models introduced on the Croatian market.
For this nautical season, nauCAT nominated 64 boats, split into 3 categories and 13 groups (see Nomination). As the voters are exclusively worldwide boatbuilders presented on the Croatian market (if they have nominated boat, they can't vote for the group of boats where their boat is), boatbuilding profession itself decides which yacht should be pronounced the best, and the competition get the necessary attention of the world public.
CATEGORY I.

● MOTOR BOATS 30-35 ft: Aquariva Marc Newson, Beneteau Antares 30'S, Drago 35, Jeanneau NC 11, Rio 35 Fly, Rodman Spirit 31, Salpa Laver 30.5 GT, Sessa C35.
● MOTOR BOATS 36-40 ft: Bavaria Sport 38 Open/HT, Fjord 36 Open, Galeon 385 HTS, Jeanneau Prestige 400, SAS Adriana 36, Solemar 37 Oceanic.
● MOTOR BOATS 41-45 ft: Alaska 45 Fly, Atlantis 44, Fairline Squadron 42, Sealine F42 Flybridge, Windy 40 Maestro.
● MOTOR BOATS <55 ft: Azimut Magellano 50, Ferretti 500, Morgan 55 Fast Commuter, Princess V52, Sessa Sport-Coupe C54.
● MOTOR YACHTS <70 ft: Azimut 64, Fairline Targa 58 GRAN TURISMO, Galeon 700 Raptor SkyDeck, Ferretti 620.

CATEGORY III
● Croatian Boats: Harpoon 550, Morena 700 Console, Murterino 21, SAS Adriana 36, Salona 41, Salona 44.
Winner of the competition "Croatian Boat of the Year 2011" will take on 'Zagreb boat show' the nauCAT's boat's-cat statuette, while winners of the particular groups will be awarded with plaques.
In the election "Croatian Boat of the Year 2011", the overall winner is the Magellano 50, from the Italian boatyard Azimut.
Azimut Magellano 50 is the first 50' motor yacht that can sail continuously, everywhere, and with the greatest respect for the environment, thanks to her class A homologation and the contextual Rina Green Plus class notation. Magellano 50 is fitted with the new Easy Hybrid system, an exclusive project created by the Azimut-Benetti R&D department that allows her to cruise at up to 8 knots using electric motors, in complete silence and with the greatest ease and control.
