Using the Patent Pending system the MXR-80 is first Automatic Ratchet block designed for use in conjunction with winches and high loads (safe working load of 1500kg, break load 3000kg) ofr ropes from 8-14mm. The product is manufactured from CNC solid aluminium. The teeth and pawl of the ratchet are located on the outer sheave giving greater efficiency compared with a conventional ratchet block. The ratchet triggers at 35kg providing extra grip in manoeuvres allowing faster crew response by reducing the number of turns on the winch. When gybing the load from the redundant sheet has less friction where the ratchet is not loaded with the ratchet disengaged. The block can be attached using strop or strap. (www.holtallen.com)
