Itama Forty

The Itama Forty, the new version of the Itama 40’, based in turn on the legendary 38’, is one of the symbols of Itama’s success story. A new layout has turned this 40 footer into a captivating remake, with highly innovative features that do not, however, alter the charm of this sleek, successful yacht. Thanks to the painstaking care taken in its design and the results obtained, the cockpit is now much larger and comfortable. A bar unit has been added behind the helm station with a small basin on the left and as the driving seat tips forward a barbecue can be fitted, on request, or a cooking unit with a two ring ceramic glass hob and a fitted refrigerator. On the right, a large C-shaped sofa, wraps around a foldaway table that can sit up to 8 people. The entrance to the engine room has also been thoughtfully positioned under the aft sundeck to free the entire cockpit area of obstacles. The sundeck includes two hangars. The bigger one can house a small tender and the smaller one is useful for storing mooring ropes. Another important new feature is the boat’s updated instrument panel, where all the instruments are arranged in a vertical position, and protected by covers to optimize visibility during cruising.
The external profile, the windscreen and the top, have also been restyled to turn the new Itama Forty into a modern “classic”. The windscreen, represents a return to the craft’s origins in terms of both shape and size, but it is now made of layered glass instead of plexiglass. The below decks layout is optimised even further thanks to the drive system, which besides being shaft-liner, also exploits the advantages of modern V-drive technology. This model is now available in two different versions and clients can order the Itama Forty with one or two cabins. In both cases the Master Cabin is situated at the fore of the craft. The shut away galley includes a glass ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, stainless steel sink and plates and cutlery for 6 people as well as ample storage space. For both versions, the dinette can be transformed, on request, into 2 comfortable berths.
The sleek, streamlined shape of this craft is uniquely and aggressively Itama, with its distinctive 22° deep “V” hull that guarantees simple handling. The Itama Forty leaves the field behind at high speed too, driven by its twin 450 CV MAN engines that offer elevated performance (top speed 36 kn) and make this open yacht not only powerful, but also extremely reliable thanks to its perfect cruising trim. Moreover, having careful studied the boat’s various weights, a number of adjustments have been made to significant factors such as the engines and tanks. These have now been positioned on the barycentre of the Itama Forty to ensure a perfect trim angle in any and every condition.
