The well-known US boatyard Crusers Yachts recently launched the 520 Express, a 52-ft motorcruiser with hard top and fine modern lines. Thanks to a new deep-V hull, well distributed weights and 435 hp Volvo Penta triple-IPS 600 D6 diesels, she can easily get top speeds of 36 knots. With the guest sofas in the cockpit which has semi-circural arrangement and sunbathing area at the front, the boat offers plenty of room for relaxation. The instrument panel at the helm position ensures that all the gauges and instruments are in good view and readily to hand. Below deck, there are two large double cabins with queen-size island berths with bathrooms. Amongst the new craft´s most interesting features is a salon with wood blinds, a 20" LCD TV and Dolby Digital Theatre System with 5-disc CD/DVD changer (optional 32" LCD TV) and a wide sofa for more sleeping accommodation. On the port side is the extensive galley with cherry cabinet doors, a large refrigerator/freezer, two-burner electric stove, coffee maker and microwave/convection oven. The swim platform is large enough to hold the tender which can be hoisted using the hydraulic gangway or hideaway optional davit. A hydraulic swim platform is also available. 520 Express is available in two power configurations - triple Volvo IPS drives (IPS 500 or 600 engines) or twin 715 hp Volvo Penta D12 715 Diesel VD.
