Bavaria Virtess 490

The cheers at the European Powerboat of the Year 2013 Awards have barely subsided, with Bavaria’s first flybridge model, the Virtess 420, having won the category up to 45 feet. But Germany’s largest builder of leisure yachts is going one better with the Virtess 490. Like the smaller 420 that swayed the contest jury with design, handling, safety features, and good value, the 490 was co-designed by the firm Too Design.

At 16.3 meters of overall length the Virtess 490 is the largest-ever motor yacht built by Bavaria, with tons of space above and belowdecks, a generous helping of luxurious details, and an open-air cockpit at the top. The sporty pedigree of the hull will help the vessel deliver a performance that complements her looks, according to the manufacturer. The debut of the Virtess 490 is set for the fall of 2013.
