Open and fast cruiser

Keizer Yachts, a new Dutch boatbuilder, has entered the market with Keizer 42. The company claims this ‘runabout’ of 42ft has already made a splash with four units sold. The model will be oficially presented to the public this summer.

The concept was devised by company owner and director Siep Keizer. The design of this 42-footer is a collaboration between Vripack and Keizer Yachts and she will be built according to own specifications at Bavaria Yachtbau in Germany.

Keizer describes this model as an “open and fast cruising, classically designed yacht”. Hull and deck are built in GRP on the basis of vacuum injection. The yacht is equipped with twin Volvo Penta or Mercruiser engines as standard. Two Volvo D6 400 engines are optional and these can deliver a top speed of around 40 knots.

It´s not only beauty, form follows function. The idea of Siep Keizer was to develop a boat with great functionality. Her functionality is best of class. The interior space for a runabout is most often limited but not at the Keizer 42. The Keizer Yachts wanted to incorporate a full interior to stay on board for days or even weeks, together with family and friends. The interior, with a headroom of 1,90 m, gives room for four beds and a complete bathroom with toilet and seperate shower compartment. The Keizer 42 will deliver the owner and his guests a great and comfortable stay on board in all circumstances.
