The latest addition to Yanmar Marine’s range of high-performance electronic diesel engines, the powerful 6CX530 is lighter than comparable-size engines. It is EPA Tier 2 certified and ready for Tier 3, making the engine cleaner than today´s required regulations.
Producing 530 hp at 2,900 rpm, the heavy-duty 6CX530 is the only 7.4L diesel engine designed for the recreational boating market. With an innovative, Yanmar-engineered common rail injection system, the freshwater-cooled, in-line, six-cylinder marine engine offers unmatched fuel efficiency and power-to-weight ratio.
The common rail injection system used has been designed specifically for the 6CX530 by Yanmar’s engineering team and the package is completed with a Yanmar-manufactured gearbox. The power-to-weight ratio is 0.63mhp per kilo. It has the same dimensions as its predecessor, with height of 933mm, length without gear 1,340mm and width 886mm.
