Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 33i

Designed for the world market, the Sun Odyssey 33i adapts to the needs of its clients. The boat is offered with two different keels and three different masts; including a Performance and a furling mast. Cruising means comfort, of course, but to truly enjoy cruising one must find oneself onboard a sailboat that is quick and responsive as well as safe and dependable.
The interior is designed to accommodate social activities, but is large enough to provide each spacious cabin with the privacy needed for long periods onboard. The quality of the woodwork and varnish sets the Sun Odyssey 33i apart in its class and gives the interior a luxurious feel. The large galley, with standard hot water and 100L 12V refrigeration, makes taking care of crew and entertaining guests a pleasure. The long settees to either side of the central table with a bar cabinet create a space where people can gather after a day on the water. The length of these settees means that they can be used as additional berths. A sliding chart table allow a space to plot the next days sailing, but also slides aft to enlarge the saloon when at anchor or in port.
The private areas onboard the Sun Odyssey 33i are treated with the same attention to detail and to function as the public spaces. Each cabin has a large hanging locker and a cabinet with shelves as well as numerous other storage compartments. In addition, each cabin has been set-up with a reading area with a dedicated reading light and a 12V accessory plug to recharge all of life’s modern trappings. The bow cabin benefits from a large deck hatch for light and ventilation, the aft cabin has a deck hatch as well as 2 opening ports. The head compartment is a standout in its class with a large hanging area for wet clothing, plenty of storage, a mirror and equipped with a stand-up shower with drainage pump as standard.
The cockpit is where one spends 80% of the time while onboard and the Sun Odyssey 33i is designed with this in mind. With seats over 2m in length, there is room for all your guests. Pedestal-mounted wheel steering is standard on the Sun Odyssey 33i along with an instrument console. The wood battens grace the seats and transom area are also standard. A large cockpit table transforms the cockpit into an outdoor entertaining area.
A Performance version of the Sun Odyssey 33i with Mylar laminate sails and increased sail area is also available. In addition to the sails, the winches and genoa tracks are upgraded; an adjustable backstay and folding propeller are added. A mainsail traveller with a fine-tune control is mounted on the cockpit floor means precise sail trim is easily within your reach.
Performance sailing is the privilege of every Jeanneau owner. Marc Lombard worked to create a boat that has the interior volume of a larger boat, while maintaining the fine entry and powerful hull shapes that bring a smile to your face every time you leave the dock. All control lines are led aft to the cockpit and the primary winches are placed within easy reach of the helsman making the boat easy and safe when short-handed. A balanced sail plan provides the engine to take you to your destination.
Safety and dependability is an integral part of cruising. The Sun Odyssey 33i is built to strict ISO 9001 standards and receives the European Community A rating, which certifies the boat as an offshore boat based on its build quality and stability. An injection moulded deck increases the stability while offering a part that is stronger, lighter and manufactured using an environmentally-friendly process. A dedicated liferaft locker in the transom means that the liferaft is always at hand.
With the attention to form and function, to public and private spaces, and to performance and safety, the Sun Odyssey 33i truly is the ultimate cruising boat.
