After the world premiere that took place in September 2001 in Southampton, Sealine did not miss the chance to present its latest and, in many details, revolutionary project F 42/5 to the Italian audience in Genoa. Versatile regarding her style, but finely balanced, attractive F 42/5 is a model for 2002 that will replace F 44. Novelty is an electric-assisted extending of a swim platform which enables obtaining of an additional space in the cockpit. Such cockpit, extended for one metre, equipped with a comfortable settee, wet bar, refrigerator, griddle plate and enormous floor storage, becomes an ideal space for spending daytime while boat is on an anchor or in the marine. Additional convenience of this system is smaller overall length of the yacht when swim platform is pulled in, so price of hiring berth is lower. Besides, compared to F 44, this model has extended waterline, which enabled higher speeds with smaller fuel consumption. Sophisticatedly detailed interior offers few versions of layout. Namely, owner who neither on cruising can neglect business duties can order single cabin with an office and option of laptop laptop link to Seatalk navigation system instead of double mid-stateroom. Both cabins have own head. Saloon also has possibility of transforming living area to double berth. Extended fly bridge includes helm post that can be additionally equipped with new Sealine Docking System (SDS), at extra cost. Within the helm seat is situated folding table, so whole area is completely outfitted for a sojourn of eight persons. For this model available are three dual Volvo diesel engines (TAMD 63P, TAMD 74L/EDC and TAMD 74P/EDC) that enable achieving cruising speed between 28 and 32 knots and maximum speed from 30 to 34 knots.
