Visiting Croatia

Since Croatia acceded to the EU on 1 July 2013, changes have been made to Croatian legislation and the requirements for visiting foreign flagged boats.

The RYA has recently obtained a new version of the Croatian document “Information for Boaters”, which provides the latest details of the entry and exit requirements and the tax and fee payable. The information has been published as part of a document entitled Nautical Croatia.

The document details the procedures to be followed when entering Croatia by sea and by land (or when re-launching following storage ashore). It also details the Navigation Safety Fee, the Fee for using Aids for Navigation Safety (Light Dues) and Sojourn tax. There is also information about what documents need to be carried on board and evidence of competence requirements.

Anyone planning to visit Croatia arriving by boat, or by land with a boat will find the information useful.
