VETUS service bulletin

The days are getting longer again and the temperature is also rising, so it’s time to get the boat back in the water! Follow these tips from VETUS to ensure the process goes without worries.

The checklist below includes the 15 most important things you need to do to get your boat technically ready. If the answer to all 15 questions is YES, you and your boat are ready for the season!

• Have you changed the engine oil? Y/N
• Have you changed the gearbox oil? * Y/N
• Have you checked the coolant level? Y/N
• Have you checked the cooling system for leaks? Y/N
• Have you checked the V belt(s)? Y/N
• Have you checked the impeller was replaced? Y/N
• Have you checked the propeller shaft seal for leakage? Y/N
• Have you checked that oil and fuel filters are changed? Y/N
• Have you checked the fluid level in the batteries? ** Y/N
• Have you have topped up the batteries with demineralised water? Y/N
• Have you checked that the batteries are connected correctly? Y/N
• Have you checked if the batteries are fully charged? Y/N
• Have you checked all the electrical connections? Y/N
• Have you checked all the electrical and electronic equipment? Y/N
• Have you checked all the tanks for leaks? Y/N Y/N

Remarks:
* Gearbox operation can be affected by dirt and moisture. To ensure correct functioning please change this oil annually. You can find the correct type of oil in the operation manual.
** When you use maintenance free batteries, checking the fluid level is not necessary.
